The Bible never promised that this life would be easy, it never says “accept the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul and He will give onto you a free pass out of trial and tribulations.” On contraré, the Word of God clearly states that we will in fact go through trials and tribulations, nevertheless it also gives us steps, procedures and even examples of what to do and when to do it. God says to, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand…” Isaiah 41:10. HE WILL HELP US! It is in our weakness that we become strong!
“A fighter does not become a champion in the ring…they are simply recognized there.” This means that it was not the act of winning the bout that made that fighter a champion. It was the heart and the desire and the passion that they put in to their training and dedication to the sport. The fighter was already a champion before he/she even set foot in the ring. Therefore the fighter is not fighting to become a champion he/she is fighting to be recognized for the champion that he/she already is.
Getting knocked down is when we face the reality of being dis’ed, leaving us in disbelief, discouraged, disappointed, disqualified, disheartened, disabled, disaffirmed, disgraced… Not by the outcome but by the enemy of your soul; you see he is out to steal, seek and destroy you. You’ve been knocked down…”Fear not…” God promises He will help you.
Prefix “dis-” means; away, apart, a negative or reversing force, absence of, deprived of…of what? The presence of God! It is important that you grasp the magnitude of this and not “dis-“!
The Word says: The World says:
- Believe Disbelieve
- Courage Discourage
- Appointed Disappointed
- Qualified Disqualified
- Heartened Disheartened
- Affirmed Disaffirmed
- Able Disabled
- Grace Disgraced
I can continue but I am sure you get the point, for everything God has given you, the enemy of your soul is planning and will attempt to “dis- it.” The Word of God says, “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain’ Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you!” Matthew 17:20
Back to my fighter; losing the fight does not mean that you are not a champion it simply means that it is not yet your day to be recognized. A true champion does not let a little thing like losing a fight diminish who they are. It’s easy to keep going when things are going well. A champion keeps going when things are at their worst and that is when you are recognized.
