Makes you go Hmmm????

Here’s a little story to make you go HMMMmmmm?

Anna, the church gossip, and self appointed monitor of the church’s morals, kept sticking her nose into other people’s business.  Several members did notmedium_6899374055 approve of her extra curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George (a new member) of being an alcoholic after she saw his old blue pickup parked in front of the town’s only bar one afternoon.  She emphatically told George, and several others, that everyone seeing it there would know exactly what he was doing.

George, a man of few words, stared at her for a few moments and just turned and walked away.  He didn’t explain, defend or deny!  He said nothing! Later that evening, George quietly parked his  blue pickup in front of Anna’s house …. walked home …. and left it there….all night!

HAHAHAHA!!! I LOVE GEORGE!!!

Proverbs 18:21 states “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

The story above is a prime example of someone eating the fruit of their words. She pointed her finger at George and accused him of “sinning.” What a hypocrite?!?! Jesus did not come to  point His finger, He came to extend His hand.  We can’t just give lip service to Christianity and not live a changed life. If God has recreated us in His likeness, the character and grace of God will be demonstrated in our lives. The very fact that we are being watched should force us to deal with our erratic behavior as well as the behavior of others because there are serious consequences for those who cause others to stumble.  Jesus had some hard words  for them.  He said it would be better if stones were tied around their necks and they were cast to the bottom of the sea! (Luke 17:2) One thing I’ve learned in my walk with the Lord: people don’t read the Bible, they will read you! In  actions, character, deeds and especially YOUR WORDS.  Here is a cure all vitamin  for a Christian, B1.

Choose your words wisely, you never know who may park their truck in front of your house! LOL!

Have a great weekend everyone, see you all Monday!!!
